Fungal Portraits are high-resolution macro images created through focus stacking 10 to 15 photographs, depending on the size of the original fungal culture (⌀ 30–90 mm). Due to the unpredictable nature of fungal growth, even when re-cultured from the same genetic stock, the resulting phenotype can never be exactly replicated. This inherent variability ensures that each portrait is truly one of a kind.
